Our client is a licensed fintech company operating in the EU and UK, providing payment infrastructure solutions — including card processing, digital wallets, and cross-border payment services for PSPs, EMIs, and neobanks.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality Assurance to take full ownership of product quality and build a modern QA function from the ground up.
Must have strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end product quality across all environments (dev → prod)
- Define and drive QA strategy, processes, and quality culture focused on defect prevention
- Own release quality decisions (go/no-go), quality gates, and release readiness process
- Drive test automation for critical flows (E2E, API, integration) and integrate into CI/CD
- Establish controlled QA/Sandbox environments aligned with production
- Define and track quality metrics (defect leakage, coverage, flakiness, MTTR)
- Ensure risk-based test coverage and visibility of high-risk gaps
- Lead incident RCA and drive systemic quality improvements
- Ensure production safety mechanisms (feature flags / rollback / kill-switches)
- Build and scale the QA team, structure, and operating model
- Drive adoption of modern QA and AI-enabled practices
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in QA, including leadership experience
- Fintech background — payments, banking, e-money, or high-risk systems
- Strong experience in test automation, CI/CD, and quality gates
- Experience building proactive QA systems, processes, and coverage models
- Experience defining and using quality metrics
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and E2E flows
- Practical experience with modern QA tooling (Python, Playwright, TestRail / Zephyr / QASE, GitLab, AWS)
- Experience with AI-assisted QA workflows is a plus
